ELNEC (End of Life Nursing Education Consortium) Core Course for Faith Community Nurses

End-of-Life Care Training for Faith Community Nurses, tailored specifically for nurses serving in congregational and spiritually focused settings, incorporates the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Core curriculum. This comprehensive training equips faith community nurses with knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, holistic, and spiritually sensitive support to individuals and families facing serious illness or end-of-life transitions.

Training modules include:

• Module 1: Overview of Palliative Care
• Module 2: Pain Management
• Module 3: Symptom Management
• Module 4: Ethical Considerations
• Module 5: Cultural and Spiritual Care
• Module 6: Effective Communication
• Module 7: Loss, Grief and Bereavement
• Module 8: Final Hours

40 contact hours is being provided by the West Virginia University School of Nursing. The West Virginia University School of Nursing is an accredited as a provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
