It provides the foundational education to prepare a professional registered nurse for the role of a Faith Community Nurse who is actively licensed in a given state and who serves in the role (currently or in the future) in or with a faith community. Faith Community Nursing is the specialized practice of professional nursing focusing on the intentional care of the spirit as well as promotion of wholistic health and prevention or minimization of illness. A Faith Community Nurse is trained to work within the context of a faith community.
