Foundations of Faith Community Nursing

Participants must possess a commitment to the whole person concept of health care, good communication skills and a current license to practice as an RN. The individual most be committed to completion of the entire foundations course (on-line and in-person).  

Lead faculty for the program have years of experience in education, research,  administration, and faith community nursing practice. Area FCNs share practical insights during the mentoring session. 

Based on the latest curriculum developed through the Westberg Institute, program topics include:

  • The role of the faith community nurse within a health/healing ministry team.
  • Spiritual care and prayer.
  • Integrating faith and health in caring for those experiencing issues across the lifespan.
  • A Service of Healing, and Service of Dedication.

Individual Price The cost includes participant workbook, practice standards, and a binder of course materials. The cost also includes some meals for the in-person sessions.
